Βάσω Τζούτη, vasso tzouti

Vasso Tzouti (b. 1977) is a visual artist working across painting, photography,
and video. Her practice investigates the body as a contested site—fragile, ambivalent, and porous—while troubling normative ideals of autonomy and perfection. Embracing vulnerability, transformation, and unruliness, her research presents bodies-in-the-making that resist binary frames and hegemonic standards. Drawing on feminist and posthumanist theory, Tzouti’s work embodies resistance, pleasure, and defiance as revolutionary forms of becoming.
Parallel to her artistic practice, she has designed and led numerous educational programs for major cultural institutions in Greece, such as the Benaki Museum and
the Yannis Tsarouchis Foundation, and she frequently gives talks and workshops on the role of creativity in education.

Tzouti lives and works in Athens.
